DeFi + Business Analyst

We are seeking an EVM / Solana ecosystem DeFi analyst with 2-3 years of experience researching protocols & dapps.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business analysis of blockchain industry DeFi / GameFi / SocialFi protocols, oracle systems.
• Writing accessible research notes on market utility/pricing, etc, to help inform Flare grants & GTM strategy.
• Following daily industry newsflow and price impact for protocols/chains; logging competitor releases to deliver research and recommendations for Flare.
• Analyse and build protocol economic models with recommended parameters.
• Research of DAOs and other ecosystem structures.
• Demonstrable knowledge of principal industry themes and awareness of emerging narratives.
• Remain active on-chain across ecosystems to help supplement knowledge.
• Use case ideation using Flare’s native tech.
• Market research to put forward useful time series data and other Web2 data to integrate with FTSO and Connector protocols.

Requirements:

• At least 2-3 years of experience researching dApps and blockchain ecosystems.
• Deep understanding of [multiple] blockchain ecosystems; previous research into data availability layers, ZK technology, DeFi, GameFi, token economic models, incentives mechanisms, oracles, etc.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a group format
• Self-starter/Entrepreneurial spirit - ability to improvise, work creatively be comfortable with uncertainty
• Capable of getting upto speed on new technologies

Nice to have:

• A few years of experience working as an analyst on the buy side/sell side.
• Previous experience at an EVM chain or digital asset hedge fund/analysis firm.
• DAO contributions.
• Miscellaneous blog research articles, whitepaper contributions, journal articles, etc.
• Twitter profile with digital asset market insights and mutual followers with some team members.
• Coding experience

Job Location:

Remote (Quarterly team meets in various locations.)

Salary:

Competitive, depending on qualifications and experience.
