Responsibilities:

As a Cryptography Engineer, you will be part of Lightshift's Core Engineering team. You will directly help co-build some of the most promising and impactful projects in the web3 industry, alongside the best founders and core team.

• Contribute directly to the research effort, code base and overall building effort of different projects invested by Lightshift.
• Analyze projects and their feasibility, focusing on the engineering component.
• Research bleeding-edge trends, protocols and advancements in the space.
• Work in tandem with Lightshift's investment team to identify and capture the best opportunities.

What we're looking for:

• General knowledge of the cryptographic primitives that power the blockchains of today and their consensus mechanisms.
• Understanding of the underlying principles powering zkRollup cryptography and architecture.
• Understanding of threshold encryption and signature schemes.
• A strong desire to keep learning and push the boundaries of the blockchain space.
• Good written and verbal communication skills (English)

• Practical experience in applying cryptography related research in real world products.
• History of meaningful contributions to open-source projects.
• Practical experience in blockchain security & research.
