Who we are looking for?

We are looking for passionate team-players to help us guarantee the stability and quality of the Audius product and protocol. You are a collaborative engineer who enjoys working with a small team to solve big problems that need innovative solutions. You’re eager to jump into multiple parts of our tech stack and have strong CS fundamentals to do so. We solve a lot of problems that can't be easily Googled or searched on StackOverflow.

About this position:

As a software engineer focused on infrastructure, you will be responsible for ensuring the continued performance of the world's largest open, decentralized, blockchain-backed music player. Audius is complex. We are solving legacy industry problems in the music space with novel technology in a large-scale distributed systems context. In order to make Audius scale, we are looking for someone to help secure smooth operation in all areas of our stack by building developer tools to give us insight into the operations of the protocol and identifying the best ways to scale our infrastructure.

What you'll do at Audius:

• Build and maintain all our developer tooling and infrastructure.
• Data flow and indexing, query optimization, search and explore, notifications.
• Read and update application code to figure out how to best test complicated flows
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to identify critical systems and user flows that need to be tested
• Work with our release captain to triage production bugs, identify regressions and minimize future impacts of such bugs
• Create dashboards to track test coverage metrics
• Manage CI and optimize the loop between development and testing

Skills and Experience

• 2+ years of working as a software engineer focused on developer productivity or internal tooling and cloud infrastructure
• Solid understanding of scripting programming languages like Python, Goor JavaScript as examples (we are flexible on language experience)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Modern Cloud Providers (AWS, GCP)
• Experience triaging bugs and regressions on production
• Familiarity with modern CI & CD tooling/services
• Experience working collaboratively with engineering and product teams
