About Flare
Flare is the blockchain for data. It is an EVM-based Layer 1 blockchain that gives developers decentralized access to high-integrity data from other chains and the internet. This enables new use cases and monetization models, while allowing apps to serve multiple chains through a single deployment – connecting everything.
Flare’s State Connector protocols enable information, both from other blockchains and the internet to be used securely, scalably and trustlessly with smart contracts on Flare.
The Flare Time Series Oracle delivers highly-decentralized price and data feeds to dapps on Flare, without relying on centralized providers.
Flare is the main network. Genesis was 14 July 2022 and public token distribution commenced on 9 January 2023. Songbird is the canary network. This is a separate live blockchain with real value where developers, including Flare, can test new technology in a real world environment.
Flare has also launched an API Portal (currently in beta) which provides developers easy access to all of the chains connected by Flare’s interoperability protocols.
Flare has approximately 60 employees, of which 40 are engineers. This will be the third marketing hire in addition to the Head of Marketing and Social Media & Content Manager.

For the blockchain industry to flourish, we need a greater number of decentralized applications that can play a role in people’s lives beyond speculative investment. However, development of new use cases is currently constrained by the types of data available on-chain. To achieve greater real world utility and adoption, dapps need to be given access to an increased variety of data.
Flare’s mission is therefore to make blockchain more useful by giving developers secure access to high integrity decentralized data from other chains and the internet. This enables the creation of applications that securely connect web2 functionality and utility to the web3 ecosystem.
Objective Of The Role
The Marketing Manager for Flare is responsible for supporting the Head of Marketing in the development and implementation of global brand strategy for Flare, including competitive positioning, communication, media, content and localisation strategies.
The Marketing Manager for Flare is also responsible for defining the brand, marketing and communications strategies for the API Portal.
Working cross-functionally and partnering with key internal and external stakeholders, the Marketing Manager drives the implementation of the brand strategy globally, managing through the line communications and ensuring KPIs and key metrics are hit.

Flare is Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) based, meaning any applications written in Solidity to run on any other EVM chain can also be used on Flare.
